MultiFinder - Word 3.01 - if you are running Word with MultiFinder occasionally Word gets confused  when you try to save your file and will give you a "This disk is write protected..." dialog box.  If this happens, just pull down the File menu and select Save As.  In the Save As dialog box you can save the file under its old name or rename it.  (This has happened to me a number of times and my "write protected disk" was a hard disk drive.)
